Methodology & Privacy
GTI Market Insights converts aggregated industry-demand signals into public intelligence while protecting individual buyers, suppliers and raw procurement records.
What the GTI Demand Index means
A 0–100 relative-demand indicator observed within the GTI intelligence network. It is not global market size, market share, sales volume or total industry revenue.
Independent demand units
Signals linked to the same procurement lineage are deduplicated before scoring. One underlying buyer demand cannot inflate itself through multiple downstream events.
Time weighting
Current demand uses a 180-day window. The most recent 30 days carry the strongest weight; older observations decay.
Public privacy threshold
A product or geography requires at least 5 independent demand units and 3 independent actors before a public indicator is published. Procurement distributions use stricter cohort and bucket thresholds.
Single-actor cap
A single buyer, company or anonymous actor cannot contribute more than 15% of the effective score for a published indicator.
Geographic granularity
Geographic dimensions are country-level only, estimated from the network location at the time of the visit. IP addresses themselves are never read or stored. Network location is an estimate and may reflect the network operator's location (for example, on-site exhibition traffic resolves to the venue's country).
Never published
Buyer identities, contacts, raw AI conversations, exact private procurement plans, raw intelligence events, lineage identifiers, supplier candidates, ranking scores and internal raw scores are never exposed through Market Insights.
Market Insights may publish what is happening in the market, but never who caused the market signal.
